N & P Statements – January to August 2026

The Department of Agriculture has now published Interim Bovine Nitrogen (N) and Phosphorus (P) Statements covering the period 1 January to 31 August 2026.

All cattle farmers are encouraged to check their statement now and review their current N & P position. This is a useful opportunity to identify any potential issues and ensure you remain within your nitrates limits for 2026.

Dairy farmers: Please also check that your 2026 dairy cow band is correct. Farmers who have not confirmed their band may have been defaulted to the highest rate of 106kg N/cow. If this is not appropriate, the correct band should be confirmed through ICBF.

The Department is also developing real-time nitrates information through MyAgFood, which will provide farmers with more up-to-date N & P figures and, in future, include both bovine and ovine data.
