Breian Carroll
Breian Carroll is the Managing Director and Senior Agronomist in the firm. He has a Bachelor of Agricultural Science degree from University College Dublin, a Certificate in Auctioneering and Estate Agency from Athlone Institute of Technology and in 2017 he graduated with a Masters in Business Practice from the Irish Management Institute (IMI) and UCC. He is a farm advisory service (FAS) approved advisor and also holds an Auctioneering Licence.
He was elected the youngest President of the Agricultural Consultants Association (ACA) in July 2007 for a three year period. He was appointed in July 2019 to the position of General Secretary of the ACA, acting as Head of Operations/Communications of the professional body for Agricultural Consultants in Ireland.
He is a recognised agricultural consultant both within and outside the sector and is a past board member of the Farm Safety Partnership Advisory Committee with the Health and Safety Authority and the Skillnets Funding Steering Committee with the Irish Small and Medium Enterprises Association (ISME). He was a member of the final judging panel for the FBD Young Farmer of the Year awards in 2009 and in 2017. He was also a member of the judging panel for the Agri-Business Awards 2015, 2016 and 2017.
Jackie Duggan
Jackie is an Agricultural Technician in the firm. During his long career, he worked initially in the Meat Control Division of the Department before moving to work in the western drainage scheme during the 1980’s, where he investigated and established drainage schemes for farmers. He was appointed Supervisory Agricultural Officer of the Department in 1993 in the Castlebar office where he was responsible for schemes such as REPS and farm building improvements. He was appointed District Superintendent of the Claremorris office in 1997 and was responsible for the continuation of the farm grant schemes, REPS, AEOS and other Department funded programmes up until his retirement in 2012. Jackie brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team in Carroll Consultancy and he acts as an Agricultural Technician, assisting our large client base with their developments under the Targeted Agricultural Modernisation Scheme (TAMS), the costing’s of the proposed developments and with their planning permission applications.
Edwina Gallagher
Edwina joined the firm in 2011 and is the firms Administrator/Receptionist. She liaises with senior management on all current projects and is responsible for the development and implementation of management information systems in the firm. Edwina also makes significant contributions to the development and implementation of the firm’s strategic plans and objectives. She studied Business Studies and has completed numerous Administration Management courses including advanced information technology.
Andrew Kilduff
Andrew is an Agricultural Consultant in the firm and has a Bachelor of Agricultural Science from University College Dublin (UCD). Andrew comes from a beef and sheep background in Co. Mayo and has a keen interest in all aspects of the agricultural sector. He received a distinction for his professional work experience working on farms all over Ireland including an 800 sheep farm in Co. Westmeath and a tillage and beef farm in Co. Wexford. Andrew has also completed computer courses in AutoCad and ECDL. Andrew is responsible for the design and planning of farm developments as part of our planning permission and TAMS service. He is a farm advisory service (FAS) approved advisor and supports our extended agri consultancy services to our entire customer portfolio. He also contributes to the development of the strategic objectives of the business in the region.
Maeve Nevin
Maeve joined the firm in 2022 and is the Senior Administrator in the firm, supporting our advisory team with current projects and working closely with clients. With vast experience in administration, Maeve has previously worked in the healthcare, retail and leisure industries. She works specifically on planning and coordinating administrative procedures and systems and devising ways to streamline processes within the firm. Maeve ensures the smooth and adequate flow of information within the company to facilitate all business operations and manages schedules and deadlines for the entire team. She also develops, improves and reviews administrative systems and policies and contributes to the ambitions of the firm.
Mary Carroll
Mary currently heads up the farm accounts and bookkeeping section of the business for our customers. Previously she worked as a Staff Officer with the Vocational Education Committee (VEC) and completed training in book-keeping while working with the Irish Farms Accounts Co-operative (IFAC). With Carroll Consultancy she furnishes farm returns, completes VAT returns and applications for grant aid for clients.
