Thinking of building a new shed, improving handling facilities, updating slurry spreading equipment or looking to carry out new sheep fencing? Then you should consider the Targeted Agricultural Modernisation Scheme (TAMS). TAMS covers many areas of farm safety and infrastructure and is open until 2020. It runs in 3 month tranches and grant aid is 60% for young trained farmers or 40% in all other cases up to a maximum of €80,000 spend for individuals or €160,000 for partnerships. Minimum spend is €2,000 (all figures exclude VAT).
The next tranche deadline ends on the 5th of April 2019. For anyone thinking of applying for equipment or sheep fencing there is still time to get into the current tranche, for anyone considering building a new shed should be aiming for the August deadline. Here at Carroll Consultancy we bring you from planning/design stage right up to the day you get your grant paid into your account. We do it in 3 stages:
Stage 1: Farm assessment/building design/planning application to local County Council
Stage 2: Application for farm grant online
Stage 3: Application for grant payment on construction of facilities
